Ganesh Chathurthi is also known as Vinayagar Chathurthi celebrated by Hindus all over the world. It's the birth date of the favourite god Ganesha. It's normally celebrated between mid August till mid September. It's one of the grandest celebrations in Maharashtar, where the festival is observed for 10 days. Idols of God Ganesh is created atleast 2-3 months prior to the celebrations and they are mostly created in clay for easy immersion. During the festivals you can find ganesha idols in various sizes from palm sized to 25 feet tall. This year Ganesh Chathurthi falls on 5 September 2016
